Three main flora are found in Corsica:
Mediterranean flora, mountain flora and subalpine flora.
Thanks to its climate and the strong presence of water, the flora of the island is very varied.
The maquis is of course the vegetation that comes to mind first. It includes many species of plants, including heather, broom, strawberry tree, myrtle and holm oaks. As you move away from this vegetation, you will find olive trees, fig trees and eucalyptus trees. In the more humid areas, leeks and wild fennel flourish.
The maritime pine is also a tree very present on the island.
If you go up in altitude, you will observe other plants and trees as well as several protected plants such as the everlasting flower, the Corsican forget-me-not and the woolly chrysanthemum.
