The barracuda

The barracuda ( Sphyraena barracuda ) is a large (up to 2 m) carnivorous fish species. The barracuda has an elongated body, with a large lower jaw and fang-like teeth. The two dorsal fins are widely separated, the first having five spines and the second one spine and nine soft rays.

Barracudas live alone or in schools. They are usually found around reefs, but they also appear in open seas. They are voracious predators that rely on surprise followed by a short burst of speed when hunting.
